The idea of the institute of International Law, Diplomatic and Humanitarian Affairs (IILDHA) was conceived by Ojoh Okafor Ojoh Esq; a Lawyer with specialization in international law, diplomacy and humanitarian studies, who worked assiduously to ensure that an institute of this nature was established in 2017. The institute is established to compliment the functions of the Nigerian humanitarian workers, government officials and public sector gladiators.
It is a registered multi-disciplinary body for professional training and as an educational institution under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) No.1, 1980 of the Federal Government of Nigeria with RC number: 1449392. The Institute is recognized by The Federal Ministry of Education (Evaluation and Accreditation Section), Council of Legal Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Ministry of Justice, etc.
This Institute was established and strategically positioned to initiate and develop policies and programmes with international law, diplomatic and humanitarian flavours for recommendation to various governments in Africa and beyond. It will also provide professional training and education for its members. Some of its objectives include:
- To produce highly qualified first-class professionals in the field, through world class training and education.
- To provide educational programmes that will lead to professional grades through training.
- To guarantee that members are professionally and constantly equipped by means of continuing professional education and research.
